HEALTH - More Rabies Cases in Ontario

The province of Ontario has been combating a rabies outbreak with the distribution of over 800,000 oral vaccines.

This week the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry reported three new rabies cases - two raccoons and one skunk, all with raccoon strain rabies.

This brings the total to 152 cases of raccoon strain rabies and 2 cases of fox strain rabies cases since December 2015.

Over 3,500 animals have been tested for the disease this year.
